New pattern! (and it’s free!)

My latest pattern is available for free from Knitty! I am really excited about this project. This is my first real professional publication and I’m really proud of the design.

Calash is a hooded scarf, worked from end to end with a striking but very simple to knit textured edge. I wore mine this weekend at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival and it was fantastic for the chilly and damp weather. The ends are long enough to wrap securely around the neck without getting in the way or blowing off. The hood section is shaped with short rows so it sits nicely on the head. For those of you not on the East Coast, you get the yarn I used for the rust colored version from Unplanned Peacock. UP’s Superwash Merino DK yarn is a joy to knit with and comes in a range of beautiful hand-dyed colors.
